An Heir Of God Through Christ
Galatians 4:7 says, “Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”

After trusting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour by faith (Gal 2:16), the Holy Spirit takes residence in our bodies (1 Cor 6:19). We can cry out to God and call Him “Abba, Father” (v. 6); it expresses the personal, intimate, relationship that we enjoy with Him as His children (Jn 1:12)! We can also come “boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (Heb 4:16). Jesus taught us that when we “pray, say, Our Father” (Lk 11:2). Regardless of the circumstances that we face in life, He is our Father and it gives Him “good pleasure to give” (Lk 12:32), us what we need! We are “no more a servant, but a son.”
We no longer serve to obey “sin unto death” (Rom 6:16). Having obtained redemption by God’s grace (Eph 1:7), He gives us the privilege to be “called the sons of God” (1 Jn 3:1). We are saved by the same blood (Rom 5:9), indwelt by the same Spirit (Rom 8:11), and we are all headed to the same Heaven (Jn 14:3)! Therefore, we should have a common love for Jesus (Col 3:14), that never gets tired of worshipping Him and sharing His plan of salvation to others.
Because we all “stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel” (Php 1:27). As “an heir of God through Christ,” we are also “joint-heirs” (Rom 8:17), with Him. This inheritance has nothing to do with money or material things. But since our Father owns everything (Ps 24:1), He can do anything necessary to supply all our needs (Php 4:19). We serve the eternal God (Jn 10:28), and one day “we shall also bear the image of the heavenly” (1 Cor 15:49). We look forward for that glorious day when “God shall wipe away all tears” (Rev 21:4), in the New Jerusalem; where we “shall inherit all things” (Rev 21:7)! God bless you!
