Jesus Is Our Righteous Judge

Deuteronomy 32:4 says, “He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.”

God demands justice and will not allow sin to go unpunished (Prov 11:21)! He judges everything “for all His ways are judgment.” He “shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil” (Ecc 12:14). All of His judgments are “true and righteous altogether” (Ps 19:9). He “is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness” (Joel 2:13); He lets us know exactly how He will judge the matter according to His written word, which shall be enacted “in the last day” (Jn 12:48)! We are all sinners (Rom 3:23). No one can plead ignorance for rejecting Jesus as their Savior (Jn 3:36), because “they are without excuse” (Rom 1:20). The Lord demonstrated His great love toward us (Jn 3:16), “in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom 5:8).

He is “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Pet 3:9). The provision has already been made such that no lost sinners in the world should be without salvation! God already judged sin when Jesus “bare our sins in His own body on the tree” (1 Pet 2:24). Everyone who would trust Him by faith (Eph 2:8), is “now justified by His blood” (Rom 5:9). All judgment has been committed to Jesus (Jn 5:22) – He is the fair and perfect judge of all!

Unlike any human judges who mostly use their position for political and personal agendas, His judgment is perfectly righteous (Rev 19:11), and will not be subject to any appeals or objections (Acts 17:31). The guilty will surely be punished (Rev 21:8). But there is still time for lost sinners to escape a tragic eternity in hell (Lk 16:23), by trusting Jesus alone as their Lord and personal Savior by faith (Rom 10:13). Spending eternity with Jesus in Heaven is far better than eternity in hell with the devil! God bless you!
