Soulwinning God's Way
Mark 4:28 says, “For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.”

After teaching the multitude about the parable of the “sower” (v. 3), Jesus told another parable about a man who “cast seed into the ground” (v. 26). He doesn’t know if the seed would sprout into maturity, so he goes about his daily tasks (v. 27). As days go by, a tender plant is pushed up into the ground until it brought “forth fruit” to be harvested (v. 29). The man reaps the fruit! This parable is a wonderful picture of soulwinning (Ps 126:6).
As bible-believing Christians, we may not see what God is doing in the hearts of people whom we share the gospel to, but He is working behind the scenes and beneath the soil of their hearts to convict them (Jn 16:8). We are commanded (Mt 28:19), to simply sow “the word” (v. 14), as the Lord’s witnesses (Acts 1:8), “in the regions beyond” (2 Cor 10:16). Our witness could be in the form of handing out gospel tracts and telling someone about God’s salvation plan (Rom 6:23), or it could be through our actions as His living testimonies (2 Cor 3:3), to this lost world (Rom 5:12). However, we should never get discouraged about the lack of response from people, because our “labour is not in vain in the Lord” (1 Cor 15:58).
God’s word is like a fire and “like a hammer” (Jer 23:29); it is also “quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword” (Heb 4:12). God alone has the power to convict lost sinners to repentance (Acts 20:21). Maybe you have a lost spouse or a wayward child. Continue praying for their salvation and be a godly testimony to them (1 Pet 3:1). Never give up and never stop telling others about “the love of Christ” (Eph 3:19). If we are faithful in sowing and watering when we are given the opportunity (1 Cor 3:6), then the Lord will take care of saving them in His way and in His time! God bless you!
