The Truth

2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”

When we receive the truth of God’s word (Ps 119:130), we will not be deceived by the lies of Satan, because “he is a liar, and the father of it” (Jn 8:44). Our Lord Jesus is the truth and the only way to eternal life in Heaven (Jn 14:6), if you would trust Him as your Lord and Savior by faith (Rom 10:9). Once we set apart the truth in our hearts (Jn 17:17), it now becomes a deterrent against “all deceivableness of unrighteousness.”

The unrighteous works in today’s “perilous times” (2 Tim 3:1), are deceiving because they appeal to the flesh (1 Jn 2:16)! It causes people to become “lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God” (2 Tim 3:4). The truth will also keep us away from “strong delusion” (v. 11). The word “delusion” is a deception that is opposed to God’s word. The Lord said that He “will choose their delusions” (Isa 66:4). When people refuse to believe in God (Ps 14:1), He will purposely send them delusions, and they would end up believing the lies of Satan. Sadly, the lies of evolution are still being taught today and evolutionary scientists are at the forefront of pushing this myth; by their reasoning “of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of” (2 Pet 2:2)!

Even the homosexual agendas are being pushed by activists and many government officials. This sexual perversion is an “abomination” (Lev 20:13), to God; it is both a delusion and a big lie! Gender is determined at conception, and the DNA ingrained in every cell cannot be altered; males have XY chromosomes, and females have XX chromosomes. No amount of surgery or hormone treatment can change that! If a person is born as a man and now identifies as a woman, then he is lying (1 Tim 1:10). But if we believe and receive “the love of the truth” then we shall not be deceived! God bless you!
