All Scripture Is Given By Inspiration Of God
2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

Paul continues to encourage Timothy about the importance of studying the scripture (2 Tim 2:15). Not only it “is given by inspiration of God,” but it is also “profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” Most unsaved people have no desire to read and understand our King James Bible because they “comprehended it not” (Jn 1:5). However, if they respond to the truth of God’s word (Jn 8:32), through the powerful conviction of the Holy Spirit (Jn 16:8), and receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior by faith (Rom 10:17), then their spirit is “quickened” (Col 2:13), or made alive!
They would then have the desire to understand God’s word (Job 32:8), through the Holy Spirit’s guidance (Jn 16:13); as He teaches by “comparing spiritual things with spiritual” (1 Cor 2:13). But the unsaved can neither understand nor receive “the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him” (1 Cor 2:14). In other words, no one can expect to understand God’s word without the Holy Spirit (Jn 14:26). Some people are dependent upon Bible commentaries. But they can’t really help them, because it is only the word of God that is “quick, and powerful” (Heb 4:12).
When they humbly get down on their knees and pray for God’s wisdom (Jms 1:5), and discernment (Heb 5:14), then He shall guide them as a “light” and a “lamp” (Ps 119:105). God’s word is not complicated that it cannot be understood; they “are all plain to him that understandeth” (Prov 8:9), so we can perceive the truth through the Holy Spirit. And when we discuss it with others who are doctrinally sound (Mal 3:16), they would either affirm it (Prov 19:20), or help us get back on track so we don’t fall into some doctrinal error (1 Tim 6:21). Upon understanding God’s word (Prov 2:2), we can readily apply it in our lives (Jms 1:22), and live by it (Mt 4:4)! God bless you!
