Jesus Is The Only Way To Heaven

John 14:6 says, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Jesus tells us about a place where He will “go to prepare a place” (v. 3a), for those who are prepared to go! Heaven is the home of “all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus” (Gal 3:26), where “the street of the city was pure gold” (Rev 21:21). It is the Father's house where there are “many mansions” (v. 2). In Heaven, we shall finally be free from the presence of sin, sorrow, suffering and death (Rev 21:4)! Jesus made a promise that He will “come again” (v. 3b), to receive us unto Himself. This future event will happen at the rapture when the saved souls will be “caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thes 4:17).

Many unbelievers today mock and ridicule the Lord’s promise (2 Pet 3:3). However, we know for sure that His words are always true (Prov 30:5), and we need to be ready always for His return (Mt 24:44)! Jesus tells His disciples that there is only one plan of salvation for all humanity when He responded to the question that Thomas raised (v. 5). He told him that He is “the way, the truth, and the life.” Jesus was declaring to all that He is the only access to God. Because “there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Tim 2:5).

He was the One Who suffered and died on the cross “that He might bring us to God” (1 Pet 3:18); and He has “risen again from the dead” (Acts 17:3). Therefore, He is the only means of salvation for all sinners (Acts 4:12). Many religions and philosophies (Col 2:8), would dispute this seemingly narrow and absolute view. But this is what the Bible teaches (Rom 10:9). Jesus is our “forerunner” (Heb 6:20), Who blazed the only way to Heaven so that sinners may come to Him by faith and be saved! God bless you!
