The 144,000 Sealed
Revelation 14:1 says, “And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

The 144,000 men from the 12 tribes of Israel (Rev 7:4), were sealed by God to be protected throughout the darkest days of the Tribulation period (Mt 24:21). Satan and his allies would be powerless to kill them because they are sealed as “the servants of our God” (Rev 7:3). Satan’s followers will also receive “the mark of the beast” (Rev 19:20), but they will be “cast into the lake of fire” (Rev 20:14). God seals His servants so they can be bound for Heaven! Satan marks his followers today. He marks their bodies, hearts, and minds with the scars of their sins. They can be physical reminders of a disease, wound, or injury that were caused by some sinful acts (Ps 38:5).
They may also carry some deep emotional pain due to past struggles and hurts (Prov 23:29). As God’s children, the trials and spiritual battles (Eph 6:12), that we face may also result in scars. But they picture the strength, hope, and healing that we gain through our Saviour Jesus Christ (Ps 147:3); Who promised to carry all our burdens and give us “rest” (Mt 11:29). Because “we are His people” (Ps 100:3), He seals us “with that Holy Spirit of promise” (Eph 1:13), and takes up residence in our bodies (1 Cor 6:19)!
After sealing these 144,000 men, Jesus stood with them on “mount Sion,” an ancient name for the city of Jerusalem (2 Sam 5:7). He brought in as many as He called out! He makes the same promise for all that He saves (Eph 2:8). We “are sealed unto the day of redemption” (Eph 4:30), and He will in no wise cast us out (Jn 6:37). Jesus gives us “eternal life” (Jn 10:28), and eternal security that is “both sure and stedfast” (Heb 6:19). When the roll is called up yonder from “the Lamb's book of life” (Rev 21:27), not a single saved soul will be missing! God bless you!
