Walk In The Truth
3 John 1:3 says, “For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.”

There are many people in our world today who are deceiving others and are also “being deceived” (2 Tim 3:13). Some of them are even using various modern-day technologies, like the Artificial Intelligence (AI). For example, anyone who has an audio recorded on the Internet, such as a preacher giving his sermon, is at risk of having any text matched to his voice using AI cloning. This can then be presented to the public as if he actually said it! Indeed, we are living in “perilous times” (2 Tim 3:1). Satan is a master deceiver (Rev 12:9), because he is the father of lies (Jn 8:44).
Many “false prophets” (1 Jn 4:1); are challenging ang changing the truth of God’s word (Rom 1:25)! As God’s children, we need to have our “senses exercised to discern both good and evil” (Heb 5:14). The best way to protect ourselves from any type of potential deception is to “know the truth” (Jn 8:32), and to always walk “in the truth.” John loved Gaius “in the truth” (v. 1), because he practiced the truth (Jn 3:21). The brethren testified to that truth, which brought joy to John’s heart (v. 3).
Gaius also encouraged both the brethren and strangers through his hospitality (v. 5). His love for others was real, because he was doing it “for His name's sake” (v. 7), and not for personal gain. We must be reminded that the services we render to God should be borne out of an honest love without any hint of pretense (Rom 12:9), or hypocrisy (Lk 18:12). It is to be genuine as our Lord Jesus has shown His great love for us (1 Jn 4:19)! We can reach others for Christ if they can see that the sincerity of our love for Jesus is real (2 Cor 8:8). Because we are not just telling them the truth (Jn 14:6), but we are also letting them see that His love is flowing through our lives! God bless you!
